Track operations for inspecting snapshots and moving changes between branches. ## In progress - [ ] Compare live files between snapshots: #2394 - [ ] Cherry-pick snapshots onto a branch: #2382 - [ ] Fast-forward and replace branches: #2384 ## Follow-ups - [ ] Explore replaying divergent dynamic partition overwrites with conflict validation. Java supports this case when the relevant partitions have not changed. - [ ] Explore v3 append replay with correct row lineage. Direct-child fast-forward does not need replay. - [ ] Investigate concurrent reference type or retention changes with REST catalogs. Snapshot ID requirements alone cannot detect changes that keep the same ID. - [ ] Expand interoperability and concurrency coverage. The PRs are still under review, so their scope may change.
