Thanks @pvary, addressed in 1df7dae: - docs/docs/flink-writes.md: replaced the paragraph with your suggested wording. - TestTableMetadataCache: added testSchemaPrefersExactMatchOnOlderSchemaOverConversionToCurrentSchema (int to long promotion on the current schema; an old-shape record still resolves to the older exact-match schema).
