kemokempo opened a new pull request, #172:
URL: https://github.com/apache/terraform-provider-iceberg/pull/172

   Adds `source_names` to `partition_spec.fields` and `source_name` to
`sort_order.fields` on `iceberg_table`, so partition and sort fields can
reference their source columns by name instead of by field ID, and those
columns no longer need an explicit `id`.

Exactly one attribute of each pair (`source_ids`/`source_names`,
`source_id`/`source_name`) is set in config and the other is computedб existing
ID-based configs keep working unchanged.

Names are resolved at apply time against the planned schema, so a field can
reference a column added in the same apply, they are case-sensitive, and nested
struct fields use their full dotted name (e.g. `location.lat`).

Read fills in the names, and the `iceberg_table` data source exposes them
too. On updates, the computed half shows as `(known after apply)`, like other
computed IDs (see #171).

Switching an existing table from IDs to names produces an empty plan, and
upgrading from state written by v0.2.0 was verified manually (empty plan, names
filled on refresh).

   Closes #170.
