Hi @HotSushi, are you planning to implement this in iceberg-go, or is it open for someone to pick up? If it's open, I'd like to take it. My plan is to follow your Java changes in apache/iceberg#17947 and https://github.com/apache/iceberg/pull/18070: - read idempotency-key-lifetime from /v1/config, and send nothing if it's absent - send a UUIDv7 Idempotency-Key only on the mutating endpoints the spec lists - reuse the same key when retrying the same operation on retriable errors, and stop once the lifetime has passed catalog/rest/scan_planning_retry.go already reuses a key for scan planning, so I'd build on that pattern. Tests would use an httptest server that returns 503 then 200 and assert the same key on both calls and no key on reads.
