The issue here is that getPartitions throws an exception here
```
Seq<CatalogTablePartition> partitions =
catalog.listPartitions(tableIdent, Option.empty());
```
If there are no partitions, but we could change the code so that it returns
an empy seq if the table in unpartitioned
