I'm not sure I understood the part about the call stack, but it seems that SQL behavior is to act as though the values is written into data files. I'm okay bending the rules a bit by making it an incompatible change, but I think that rewrites _should_ write the default value into data files. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
