Also a more fundamental thing: In apply https://github.com/apache/iceberg/blob/master/core/src/main/java/org/apache/iceberg/SnapshotProducer.java#L170 the current snapshot should be the tip of the branch if a branch is set, or the latest snapshot if it's main.
