Currently IGFS is unable to deal with changes performed on HDFS directly. That
is, all file system operations must go through IGFS to maintain integrity of
in-memory file system view.
This appears to be a known issue with other Hadoop-based integrations. HDFS has
relatively new interface {{INotify}} which allows callbacke to external sources
when file system is updated. We need to evaluate possibility integrate IGFS
with this module.
