Andrey Mashenkov commented on IGNITE-19550:
-------------------------------------------

We can just switch to long identifiers for Catalog objects, when it comes to
the real issue, otherwise we will need to introduce kind of epoch or another
guarantee ensuring no ABA issue is possible.

> Reuse IDs of dropped Catalog objects for new objects

> In IGNITE-19524, we are switching from UUIDs to ints as IDs of the Catalog
> objects (tables, indices, views, zones). Some users have use-cases where they
> constantly create, drop and recreate same tables. In such cases, it might
> make sense to reuse object IDs to slow down the growth of the global counter.
> A design is required.
