Sometimes, we may consider some code is legacy and mark it as deprecated.
Such code can't be removed due to backward compatibility reasons, because we
have no agreement, when and how compatibility can be broken.
This ticket is created to be referred to from TODOs in code.
If at some point we will make a decision breaking compatibility with 3.0
version, this issue should be fixed.
