Vladimir, about *p.2*. It is not true. The {{null}} must be returned only
{{EOF}} is encountered before even one byte can be read according to the
[javadoc|http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/io/DataInput.html#readLine()].
Also {{DataInputStream}} returns empty string for {{'\r\r\n'}} bytes.
