Vladimir Ozerov commented on IGNITE-6055:
-----------------------------------------
[~NIzhikov], first comment - it is illegal to replace 2.5.0 version with 2.6.0.
There are no specific features for 2.5.0, but it is already used by driver
released in AI 2.5. This changes breaks compatibility between 2.5 server and
2.6 driver.

> We should support {{CHAR(X)}} and {{VARCHAR{X}} syntax. Currently, we ignore
> it. First, it affects semantics. E.g., one can insert a string with greater
> length into a cache/table without any problems. Second, it limits efficiency
> of our default configuration. E.g., index inline cannot be applied to
> {{String}} data type as we cannot guess it's length.
