Michael Smith created IMPALA-15463:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Use Kudu live rows
Key: IMPALA-15463
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IMPALA-15463
Project: IMPALA
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Frontend
Reporter: Michael Smith
Assignee: Michael Smith
Kudu maintains statistics on the number of rows in a table. When stats aren't
available in HMS, we should use these statistics to report the number of rows
so we produce better plans with Kudu tables.
