   The reason why at present I like the SERVICE <correlate:> approach is that 
it gives full control to the user within the SPARQL 1.1 syntax. Caching is most 
useful with correlated joins so that the result of the right-hand-side is 
cached for each input binding.
   
   In case you'd prefer an alternative approach please let me know.
