The solution could be to replace `ExpiringMap` with a caffeine cache.
`ExpiringMap` was taken from a separate project which isn't active.
It isn't clear whether expiring entries is really necessary. Having a
caffeine cache in a replacement for ExpiringMap ("IndexCache"?) in built in one
place would enable us to change the policy.
It's only used in `GeometryLiteralIndex`, `GeometryTransformIndex` and
`QueryRewriteIndex`.
