Jena does not carry out checks on strings for URIs in the Model API. It's not just relative URIs. It is this way because it always has been. Check data on read. A new API could be done to do checking, and this then duplicates the work of parsers. As of `jena-iri3986`, that could be acceptable. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
