Yes I have tried with "\"
select * from d380.a\$claims where j\$CCD = 'US'

gets response:
 [SQL0104] Token \ was not valid. Valid tokens: FOR USE SKIP WAIT WITH FETCH
LIMIT ORDER UNION EXCEPT OFFSET.
