It might be related of execution of code in all JSR223 elements that is still in progress. I created an example of post processor, assertion and listener so you can switch between them and reproduce the same output. Code compares provided regex with sampler's response. Test started - It takes around 15 seconds to stop the test after I immediately pressed STOP button in GUI mode. In this case when STOP button is pressed all JSR code execution that are in progress should be stopped. Same goes for non-gui mode. Let me know if you need more details.
