Same as described in https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50752126/unable-to-start-jmeter-4-0-client-with-ssl-rmi When using a specific client.rmi.localport with ssl enabled, the client (non-gui mode) appears to try to bind to the same port more than once. Unsetting client.rmi.localport (to use random ports) works fine.
