Committed to patch for version 2.2 and the documentation patch.
Patch for 2.1.1 will not be committed since 2.1.1 is a bug fix release and this
is an improvement issue.

Note, that I will leave this issue open for a couple of days if there are
objections regarding the suggested port 44444.
