Ioannis Canellos updated KARAF-938:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Document how karaf-maven-plugin is used to generate distributions
(was: karaf-maven-plugin should should be able to calculate the start-level for
the generated features and configurations.)
Apparently, I have misunderstood the way the distribution is currently created.
I talked with David and there are other means to adjust the start levels etc.
So I am renaming this issue to "Document how karaf-maven-plugin is used to
generate distributions" to avoid such misunderstandings in the future.

> Currently the karaf-maven-plugin is used to generate feature descriptors,
> startup.properites and org.apache.karaf.features.cfg files.
> On each plugin declaration we can assign start-level once and that
> start-level is going to be used for all bundles in the generated feature.
> However, there are times where we need to have deviations or we are going to
> run into issues, like having dependencies and dependants run on the same
> start-level.
> I am wondering if it was possible to use the dependency graph in order to
> propagate start-level.
