Andreas Pieber resolved KARAF-1070.
-----------------------------------
Resolution: Not A Problem
the bootdelegation property between the system and custom file are already
aggregated. There's no need for referencing them again.
> Allow recusive variable references to be applied as substitution then
> assignment
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

> Key: KARAF-1070
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-1070
> Project: Karaf
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: 2.2.4
> Reporter: Caspar MacRae
> Priority: Minor
>
> Hi,
> I tried adding the following to custom.properties:
> {noformat}
> org.osgi.framework.bootdelegation = ${org.osgi.framework.bootdelegation},
> org.bouncycastle.*
> {noformat}
> In the hope that it would do substitution then assignment, but I get an
> illegal arg exception "recursive variable reference:
> org.osgi.framework.bootdelegation" (at
> org.apache.karaf.main.Main.substVars(Main.java:1201))
> If the above were possible our custom distro would extend rather than
> overwrite the standard Karaf settings - which would make custom distros a bit
> more resilient (I'm somewhat fearful I'll miss a change in config, even when
> running diffs on the stock and custom cfg files).
> (btw creating a custom distro is incredibly easy and a really cool feature,
> thanks)
