This is referenced in the documentation at
http://karaf.apache.org/manual/2.2.5/developers-guide/archetypes.html
Running {{archetype:generate}} and specifying
{{-DarchetypeGroupId=org.apache.karaf.archetypes
-DarchetypeArtifactId=karaf-bundle-archetype}} also results in the above
message for me.
