I also think we should provide this and had proposed it when we started to
create the osgi core jar.
The question is of course if Karaf would be the right place for this. So we
also asked in felix and servicemix but no one wanted to do it. You can popose
this on the dev list of course. Perhaps people changed their minds in the mean
time.
