The karaf-maven-plugin ignores the configuration configured in the _pom.xml_
file if using the _kar_ packaging:

<extensions>true</extensions>
<configuration>
<!-- everything here is being ignored -->
</configuration>

...using the _pom_ packaging option and calling the two maven goals by
themselfes works however...
