Nate created KARAF-6791:
---------------------------
Summary: Can the remote SSH server be used to remotely update an
entire karaf installation including installed libraries, even if it's an older
version of Karaf?
Key: KARAF-6791
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-6791
Project: Karaf
Issue Type: Question
Reporter: Nate
I'm researching the possibility to remotely update our agents, which are
essentially Karaf installs with customization (about a dozen changed files in
the bin and etc folders, a log directory in KARAF_BASE instead of
KARAF_BASE/data, and then about a bunch of additional feature jars in the
system folder with included bundles). I came acrossÂ
[https://karaf.apache.org/manual/latest/remote], and I was wondering if I could
use this remote install feature to remotely update the entire Karaf
installation, including from older versions (4.0.7 most likely). Has this been
done before? Would this even be possible in this way?
