------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jul 5 01:56:59 -0700 2006 ------- OpenOffice.org can be compiled with a --enable-lockdown flag. In this mode, OpenOffice.org restrains its functionality in a way adapted for example to computers accessible in public places (cybercafes, hotels, airports, ...). KDE has a version similar in philosophy that is named "KDE kiosk", which could integrate a locked down OpenOffice.org. Lockdown mode is already implemented for GNOME in shell/source/backends/gconfbe (support for system-wide settings). The same should be done in shell/source/backends/kdebe. There might be other places concerned by lockdown mode in OpenOffice.org, but if they exist I don't know them yet. I have contacted KDE kiosk people to discuss that topic with them but I haven't received their reply yet. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
