But I've noted problems losing the data in the clipboard under Linux, trying to copy & paste text between Mozilla Thunderbird or Firefox and Writer. It seems this clipboard or similar issue it's as old as from 2001: http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgNo=143 I already had these problems in Ubuntu 9.10 (and in previous versions). I thought it was because some Gnome clipboard problem... But I also get the same problems now in Kubuntu 9.10 and, hence, under KDE 4. The clipboard only works if I first copy a text from Firefox / Thunderbird (perhaps other apps are concerned too) and paste it to a document open with Gedit or Kate. Then, I have to re-copy such text from Gedit / Kate and finally paste it to Writer.
