Todd Lipcon commented on KUDU-1667:
-----------------------------------

Our slaves currently run Ubuntu 14.04, so Python 3.4 is the latest that seems
to be packaged. Is that sufficient or should we try to upgrade to 16.04?

What packages are necessary? Is just python3.4 enough or we also need
python3.4-dev and/or any python package debs?

> Recently, I've found many regressions or other test failures in Python 3 that
> couldve been caught if we also ran python 3 tests on build. We should add
> Python 3.5, in addition to python 2, to the Jenkins images used for precommit
> tests.
