I didn't realize this issue existed. Impala already has
https://issues.cloudera.org/browse/IMPALA-2634 for this. Since this is more of
an Impala issue, let's use that instead.
[~wdberkeley], there are a couple of big changes out for review about the
create table code. I wouldn't look at it yet (if you are interested). The
changes should be checked in within a few weeks, depending how the reviews go.
