@git-hulk Thanks, I'll try that as soon as it is available. I'll try 2.8.0 for now and let you know. I agree the compaction doesn't appear to be quite coincident, but having left the server idle and seeing the times of the memory spikes, it still looks like compaction ends, and then some time after memory starts rising.
