Hi Kaisen,
The issue, maybe, need your review.
BTW: I found that the building process of GD will hold a lock, at that time,
there may exist multiple GD directories accessed by different building thread.
So, if the lock need to be held before cleaning the GD? (to prove the GD is not
being built)
For example:
The building thread 1 using the dir[xxx/version_1530759906521] holds the lock.
The building thread 2 using the dir[xxx/version_1530759913804] waits for the
lock.
The building thread 3 using the dir[xxx/version_1530759915097] waits for the
lock.
if I delete all the GD except the newest(version_1530759915097), will the
thread 1&2 be affected?

> I had run "{{./bin/metastore.sh clean --delete true" to cleanup my Kylin
> metadata, but, after that, the Global Dictionary still exists in my HDFS and
> the size of directory "/kylin_metadata/resources/GlobalDict/dict" hasn't
> shrunk.}}
>
> {{BTW: I'm very sure that there are redundant Global Dictionaries.}}
