Sorry to pick this up late, but I've been way busy...

I have to disagree sharply.  Women who do not choose to penalize themselves 
are also penalized by employers who pay less.  

Also, let's say I got married, which is a possibility in the not too distant 
future.  I'll also continue my career just as before.  Let's also say I am 
changing jobs or up for a promotion around that time.  Since I am still 
perceived as within child bearing years, an employer may choose to pass me 
over, since I'd be viewed as likely to want to start a family.  Whether I 
really have any plans to do that won't even get asked.  The assumption is 
what will cost me, and what I really want has nothing to do with it.  That 
is bias and stereotyping, plain and simple.  It is a penaly unfairly 
applied, through no choice or action of my own.
