The problem was pretty clear once I took a look (and with Hoss' digging). I
pushed a fix, and tried to make the file-handling a little cleaner while I was
there.
I would normally push a patch and let it sit for review, but since it was
causing test failures I just committed it straight away. If anyone has any
review comments I'm happy to address them at this point though.
