To be honest I didn't put much effort into ensuring both build systems can be
used at the same time (and they probably won't). There are too many things in
ant that would require manual intervention (exclusions of buiid/ folders) -- if
we're going to abandon ant then I don't think it's worth the effort to fix it.
You can use both systems but just clean the checkout to a pristine state in
between. gradlew clean (or git clean -xfd .) does the job.
