Having seen some comments on XML, let me just say that Solr is one of the worst
XML processing machines out there. Our XML handing is so slow and wasteful and
terrible that you can’t call it anything but an unmitigated disaster. All
easily addressed, I’ve done most of it already, but let’s understand that when
we talk about XML, we first have to face the fact that we are terrible at it
currently.
