Thanks for your thoughtful response.
bq. If we replaced the CDCR section in the Ref Guide with a single page that
discussed the available options for roll-your-own DR/failover, we can answer
the question and the problem, such as it is, IMO is resolved.
I shall attempt to put together a page describing DR best practices that I have
learnt from the field. Shall seek review and consensus on that before adding it
on our reference guide so others can add their ideas as well.
