Alexandre Rafalovitch commented on SOLR-10203:
----------------------------------------------
Checking against trunk (9.0) gradle build with `gradlew -p solr/packaging/
assemble`
I do not see *test-framework* directory anymore, so that seems like a progress.
We still have *solr-test-framework-9.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar* file though (it was
right under dist, not under dist/test-framework. Do we need that file in the
final package? It seem to contain test files and some test certificates
(including private keys). We even seem to be explicitly deleting it in
Dockerfile instructions.
> Remove dist/test-framework from the binary download archive

> Libraries in the dist/test-framework are shipped with every copy of Solr
> binary, yet they are not used anywhere directly. They take approximately 10
> MBytes.
> Remove the directory and provide guidance in a README file on how to get them
> for those people who are writing their own testing solutions against Solr.
