Oh! You are indeed correct, this logic is flawed. IndexFiles should accept a
path to the source data indeed, and call KnnVectorDict.build. I now understand
your head-scratching! I have no idea how it appears to be "working" even in the
tests. OK - I'll dig and get back to it, probably later today.
