Actually IMHO we should start testing G1GC as this is the default everybody (should) use nowadays. Of course it slows down throughput a bit (up to 10%), but in contrast you have no long pauses. Nowadasy I think most users are running with G1GC, the default for Solr and as far as I know also ES/OS. A benchmark with an old GC just for higher throughput in an isolated benchmark is far away from reality. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
