Three stages of work will be needed to resolve this issue.
1. Most of the changes to the Clownfish runtime core should be straightforward.
2. Automatic conversion between Hash and the native hashtable type (in XSBind.c
for Perl) will require careful review.
3. Lucy will need to be adapted after the Clownfish changes land, but those
changes should also be straightforward.
