[MD4C|https://github.com/mity/md4c] is a new Markdown parser written in C. It
* implements the CommonMark spec,
* is easy to embed directly in source form,
* comes with less features that we don't need,
* is MIT-licensed.
Looks like a good replacement for libcmark.
