[~fmcquillan] The current behavior of PCA is to throw an error corresponding to
the "_ignore any other columns that do not affect above logic_" case.
Is it alright to maintain the same behavior and error out instead of ignoring
such columns? The reason for this suggestion is that we will then not have to
change code that is used by other modules such as SVD.
