@andrewmusselman Thanks for going over and merging this.
Merging this gives us the ability to deploy scala 2.11 or scala 2.12 + java
8. (little work on anything but build issues save one small issue on Java 8
playing nicely with scala 2.12). The main issue is though, that we can deploy
binary artifacts now, with this.
There are some other updates.
I'll put up a cleanup PR soon.
