HI Allan HÃjgaard wrote in this:

The logo of OpenOffice.org 2.0 on the front page is rather huge so I
tried to compress it with the PNGout utility by Ken Silverman. Here
are my results:

C:\PNGout>pngout.exe Splashscreen_Beta_w_Sun_Logo.png
Splashscreen_Beta_w_Sun_Logo-1.png
Input: Splashscreen_Beta_w_Sun_Logo.png coltype:2 (RGB)
Output: Splashscreen_Beta_w_Sun_Logo-1.png coltype:2 (RGB) filter:5 (mixed)

Input size: 139181 bytes
Output size: 101682 bytes
    Change: -37499 bytes ( 73% of original)

135 KB ---> 99,2 KB = 35,8 KB saved which means faster loading of the
image and less bandwidth used. I have included the resulted file in
this email for your review.

Just thought it might be useful. Cheers!
