------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Aug 29 11:14:39 -0700 2006 ------- Hi all, Regarding John's concerns: I am not responsible for the registration screen in the software, but I am responsible for the registration HTML page on the OOo website, although I did not find much time lately to update it. The page states clearly that no personal information is nedeed and the way it will be used. When someone wants to register he is sent (in OOo 2) to: http://www.openoffice.org/welcome/registration20.html which redirects to the user survey: http://survey.services.openoffice.org/user/usersurvey20_01_a_en.php What would be needed is a process to update and inform the registered users about the project news. One other thing though: If in fact we have a user survey and not a registration process per-se, maybe we could have that screen in the software to state that we need feedback and this is all about, not registration, with options like: * I want to give my feedback to OpenOffice.org team and help them improve * I will give my feedback later * I do not want to offer feedback * Do not ask me again Best, Cristian --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
