Looking at e.g. http://www.ibiblio.org/maven2/batik/batik-transcoder/1.6/batik-transcoder-1.6.pom and http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/batik/batik-transcoder/1.6/batik-transcoder-1.6.pom which appears to redirect to http://repo.mergere.com/maven2/batik/batik-transcoder/1.6/batik-transcoder-1.6.pom the newer version of the POM, dated 05 Jan 2006, has been reverted to or overridden by the earlier one, dated 08 Nov 2005.
