I think maven is a nice tool, but the documentation lacks many places. I have
worked a lot with ANT from earlier and I must say that one of the best parts
about Ant is the documentation. Each task is very well documentet. Each
attribute is documentet with a description and required field. In addition it
is followed with one or more samples. You can in most cases just copy and paste
the tasks right out of the documentation and in to your build.xml with little
or no modification.
At least I think the attributtes should be described!
