Multiproject CVS uncommitted changes not checked

When using the "release plugin" on a flat multi-project struture, the plugin
dosen't check uncommitted changes with CVS, and perfome the release.
The module section of the master pom.xml:
<modules>
<module>../ejb</module>
<module>../web</module>
</modules
Maybe this is related to MRELEASE-6.
