To be able to use the buildnumber-maven-plugin with the jgit scm provider your
pom.xml needs something like this:
<scm>
<url>https://github.com/thomasmey/einkaufsliste-server</url>
<connection>scm:jgit:file://.</connection>
[...]
</scm>
and the plugin:
<plugin>
<groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
<artifactId>buildnumber-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>1.4</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<phase>generate-resources</phase>
<goals>
<goal>create-metadata</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
<configuration>
<addOutputDirectoryToResources>true</addOutputDirectoryToResources>
</configuration>
